The role of parents

  • To ensure the success of the education process, it is absolutely essential that parents and school share the same objectives. The School does all it can to maintain a close relationship with parents.

At Alegra, we consider that the educational work we do at School is delegated by and subsidiary to that of the family. All teaching & formative activity given at School is in alignment with this principle of our mission and is accepted in its totality by parents when they bring their children to the School.

To pursue this objective, Alegra undertakes to organize all the necessary family orientation and other training courses for parents through its Family Orientation Department and to establish direct and close contact with parents through the tutors.

  • APA (Alegra Parents’ Association)

The Alegra Parents’ Association plays a key role in the life of the School and derives from one of the School’s most important characteristics: Alegra is a school formed by families and for families. Among other objectives, the following are worthy of mention:

    • To establish a trustful, family atmosphere
    • To give attention to formation for parenting, promoting activities in the area of family orientation and lectures on matters of interest
    • To transmit suggestions from parents which could improve the activity of the School in some way.

The APA’s work is carried out by different committees, each headed by one of the officials of the Association and in which all school parents can take part.
